Complete Joy

It's not the way that nobody cares. It's in the way the action's speaking clear. It's in the way that nobody ever gives a fuck until time is up and it's right here. It's not the way I am giving all. It's just the way that I will make my mark. I learned a while ago to not depend on others. When the going's tough they fly or fall into complete joy. Ignorance is bliss and mediocrity soars. May be happy with no noise. I am not.
Remains regardless if you're best or not. Will disappear if given all you've got, and if you don't give much you'll get back what you gave, and when you finish you'll be back at start. What will you do to change your fate? Better give some more or just remain another memory of someone who came along and when it got too hard they ran away into complete joy. Ignorance is bliss, and mediocrity soars. May be happy with no noise. I am not... into complete joy. Ignorance is bliss, and mediocrity soars.

But I Won't

The night was looking grim, and then she walked through the door smoking Virginia Slims. She was the one I adored. Suddenly I got an urge to move. (And if you don't she'll be gone. Do I got something to prove? I should just sound the alarm, but I won't do nothing.)
Now she's gone, and I'm still here drinking.
It's better just to tell her what the hell you were thinking.
Man, she's so sweet. I really wanted to meet her tonight,
I guess I'll never get my confidence right.
{You let her walk away. (I know it's up to me.) You couldn't get her to stay.} I need a table for three...me and my two sad eyes. She could have been the one (maybe I'll see her again or at least have some fun. Should I go talk to her friend?) But I won't do nothing now.

See Like a Dagger

Sharp as a tack racing to slice up a place. You can carve on the face of the fact. No looking back. Interesting thoughts fill the space as you look for a place to attack.
You see like a dagger. Sharpen your eye, but you can't find what hiding on the inside.
You see what you want, and you'll see when I'm gone, but you can't find.
Cuts like a knife. Slice up a theory of peace with money and disease from the strife. Give up your life. As our reputations decrease, you can feel the release of our might.
You see like a dagger. Sharpen your eye, but you can't fight what's hiding on the inside.
You see what you want, and you'll see when I'm gone, but you can't fight.
